Sony’s got a new-reader coming, the PRS-T1, that recently reached the FCC. Also, some weeks ago Sony’s VP of digital reading, Phil Lubell leaked the info that Sony was working on such a device.
The Japanese company wants to pull out from the hat a Kindle rival, that will hit the shelves in August apparently. This means that it will accompany the Sony S1 and S2 tablets to the market. As far as the FCC approval goes, the model was seen in their archive as the PRS-T1, that might just remain a codename.
Sadly, no specs have leaked, if you don’t count WiFi support. With the S1 and S2 slates coming soon, is there a real need for such an e-reader and for what price?
