T-Mobile G-Slate Price Reduction Takes it to $399.99 With Contract

Talk about cheap tablets… now we’ve got a cheap 3D tablet on our hands. It’s none other than the T-Mobile G-Slate, now retailing for a very reduced amount of money: $399.99 with contract (after $200 mail in rebate). It’s price cut season it seems, since this week we’ve also seen Windows Phone 7 models being sold for one cent.

Also known as the LG Optimus Pad, the G-Slate packs dual 3D cameras and a 3D display, plus Honeycomb. When it was first available, the G-Slate was priced at $529.99 with 2 year T-Mobile data commitment, after a $100 mail in rebate. Well, it’s all peachy once you pay $399.99 for this model with the new offer, but the data contract is still there and the pricing applies after a $200 mail in rebate.

Sprint already got rid of the mail in rebate policy and maybe we’ll see other retailers/carriers following them soon.

LG Optimus Pad Ready Available on Rogers Starting May 17th

The 3D tablet LG Optimus Pad will debut on Canadian carrier Rogers on May 17th, it seems. The device is already available in Europe and the screenshot below is the source of the info concerning the North American debut of the product.

Rogers will exclusively carry this Honeycomb tablet, that in the United States is sold as the T-Mobile G-Slate. In Canada, the price is $700 (starting price), but with a data plan you’ll reach from $450 with a 3 year contract to $650 on a month to month contract. You can also pay $600 for a one year deal, or $530 for two years of commitment associated to the device.

We remind you that this is a 8.9 inch touch slate we’re talking about, one that supports 3D video capture and HDMI output.

T-Mobile G-Slate Tablet Priced at $529.99 on Contract

T-Mobile G-Slate, a tablet known in some parts of the world as the LG Optimus Pad will be priced at $529.99, according to the carrier that sells it. This pricing applies to a 2 year agreement and after a $100 mail in rebate. The offer beats the contract Motorola Xoom, that goes for $599.99, but not by much.

T-Mobile is also claiming that the G-Slate will arrive this Spring, with rumors mentioning April 20 as the launch date. The product will be available in the CTIA 2011 floor this week, for hands on fun and extra details. We remind you that the G-Slate comes with an 8.9 inch 3D screen, dual 3D cameras at the back, Android 3.0 Honeycomb and a dual core Tegra 2 processor.

Motorola Xoom and LG Optimus Pad Priced for Europe! More Devices Detailed as Well!

We have received news about the prices of the latest tablets in Europe, courtesy of tipsters Martino and Marco, which we thank. It seems that Spanish retailer ThePhoneHouse already has the following devices listed, with prices attached: LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Asus Eee Pad Transformer and Acer Iconia Tab A100.

The products are supposed to debut in Europe (or at least in Italy) this summer, with the Motorola Xoom 3G going for 699 euros, while the LG Optimus Pad and its 3D features costing 849 euros. Asus Eee Pad Transformer goes for 399 EUR, while the Acer Iconia Tab A100 costs 349 EUR. The Spanish retailer has no details on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, sadly, a pretty decent alternative for the Xoom.

Seems that the LG tablet is the most pricey one, maybe because of those dual cameras capable of 3D capture, or because of the 3D screen? The Asus Eee Pad is actually quite cheap, but if you want power, Motorola is the way to go. There are also rumors about the HP Opal tablet (Touchpad?) launching on July 1st in Europe, although that’s yet to be confirmed.
