Coby MID7005 is another one of the many new Android tablets everyone’s talking about, but this one is an Internet-focused device. We’re talking about a budget product here, with a 7 inch display and going for $300, exclusively via HSN.com. This is a low end unit made in China, that gets detailed after the break.
Folks unboxing the slate came across a piece of gadgetry with an ARM11 CPU inside (800MHz), a 7 inch 800 x 480 resistive touchscreen, Android 2.1, 4GB of storage (SD) and support for 802.11 b/g WiFi, USB 2.0 and HDMI. A 3,600mAh battery is providing the juice and the tablet is bundled with a couple of accessories: stylus, case, headphones, USB cable.
Coby Kyros probably lacks Android Market support, since it comes with the AppsLib marketplace. Well, at least it’s got 1080p video playback… and a pretty good touchscreen, according to the folks of Android Tablets who messed with the device.
