Huawei Ideos S7 Slim Reaches the FCC, Ready for US Launch

Huawei Ideos S7 reached the US a bit too late, since a resistive slate with a sub 1GHz CPU wasn’t appealing any more when it took off. Now, we have the S7 Pro and S7 Slim versions ready to make up for the delay of the first unit. The S7 Slim has already reached the FCC and we learn more about it in the following lines.

Huawei Ideos S7 Slim comes with support for GSM/EDGE 850, 1900 bands and W-CDMA bands II and V, meaning that it will run on AT&T’s 3G network. The hands-on experience with the unit during MWC 2011, showed us a 7 inch 800 x 480 capacitive screen device, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and dual cameras.

The other usual specs are here, too: 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, HDMI, USB and microSD card. Android 2.2 is most likely the OS of choice and we expect the price to be reasonable. S7 Pro will also be very interesting…
